I mean really love it?!?

Does your audience love it?

Are you proud to drop your link any and everywhere?

Is it easy to update whenever you need to without destroying the custom code?

Does it represent your brand?

Does it communicate the right feeling?

Is it aligned with your message?

Is it attracting your dream client?

Or…

Is it costing you connections and money?

There are so many different amazing platforms to build an amazing and beautiful site on, I wanted to stop by and give you a few quick tips to creating in building a site or refreshing the one that you have. I say this all the time but it’s so true, YOUR BRAND IS A LIVING THING. Making sure that it consistently communicates your brand message and ‘brand feel’ to your audience is incredibly important. I would even argue that it has to have some type of wow factor that is distinctly you -that your audience can connect with.

So here are a few tips to for you to consider:

5. Check for Cohesion

Brand recognition is a powerful thing. If your ideal client can recognize your brand from social media to your website (and maybe in real life, if you have a storefront) then you have accomplished magic. The importance is how the details of your brand come to life across the different spaces. It’s often effective to choose one or two elements that you want to be the recognized factors of your brand and highlight them across your active spaces. Cohesion is not just in the imagery, but in the words you choose. There is power in language, use it to intrigue, educate and excite your audience.

4. Concise Description

Short and sweet. It’s important that your website visitors know exactly who you help and what products and/or services you provide. Not only that, but why they need your service or product. They shouldn’t have to guess the difference between you and your competitors. Creating your elevator pitch and working with a talented copywriter to bring your brand to life through words is an important part of communicating your brand to your audience.

3. Functionality and Purpose

I’m a sucker for a pretty site but, goals one and two are functionality and purpose. Make sure all of your text/copy are legible both in color and the font. There should also be a hierarchy and balance to the placement of your content. It’s important to use common names for pages and an easy- to- maneuver navigation so your clients/customers can find your fabulous offerings. Use text, placement and color to differentiate between important information and draw the eye to specific content.

2. Effective Images

When choosing images for your site it is important that they are reflective of the feel and message of your brand. The images are really important. One of the best investments you can make, regardless of your business is to commission brand photos with a talented photographer (if you need one let us know- we know a few amazing photographers from the east coast to the west coast). There are also some phenomenal stock image sites that can fill the gap ;-)

1. Value

Give them the goods up front! If you are offering free download, product or just crazy good advice- give it to your site visitors up front, but also keep it coming. Give them a way to access you through strategically placed call to actions. Also effectively state the value in what you are offering. You want to make sure that if you are spending time creating freebies, they are what your clients are interested in.

As always we want to hear from you, so if there is something you are interested in learning about or a topic that we can help let us know we can make a video or blog post.
