Why Branding is Worth the Money

Why is it so important to invest in your branding?

So you’re ready to make the jump in to creating your dream business. You’ve done all the research, attended all the free webinars, joined the Facebook groups and even started building that oh-so- important email list (that you have no idea what to send out after the intro email). So now its time to get a logo and website going and create that beautiful Instagram feed that you spend hours gawking over especially during this quarantine- induced social media scroll.

Do you NEED to invest in your branding?

The short answer is …YEEEESSSSS! (that’s a long yes, but you get the idea)

And I’m not just saying that because it’s my passion + business.

Branding is so important to not only standing out in a crowded social media and physical space, but also in communicating exactly what you do or provide to your ideal client. It’s important to understand and clarify all the structural parts that create a brand. I know you’ve heard it's not JUST a logo or pretty colors and that is so true.

Branding is a process.

The process of branding is discovery/ research, clarification, communication, visual representation, strategy for implementation and engagement. It starts with really getting to the root of your why and accessing the best way to connect with people.

I can chat forreevvverrr about branding design, but I also value your time- so I’ll keep it quick and dirty ;)

So why should you invest in your branding? Here are a couple of reasons that I believe truly make a difference:

First, it guides your every move

This is probably the most important reason, especially if you are active in the creation of your brand and engaged in the multifaceted ways your brand will live in different spaces. This reason will make all the difference in how you share your brand. When all the branding sessions are done and you have a google folder with logos, fonts, colors, image directions, values, pillars, feel, style guide, and all the other parts of branding you will know exactly how to use those in an effective and beautiful way.

Think of your brand like it’s a person - a well rounded likable character. That character is made up of various values, hopes, goals, etc. They also live in a community (that is made of your idea clients- wohoo!) Branding allows you to access this community with ease and confidence.

Branding is the act of purposefully telling your audience about the greatness of your product or service through various facets (want to chat more about this is? Schedule a coffee chat with me here.

Not everyone needs the same level of branding. Some may have in-depth understanding of their brand pillars, values, vision and even the history of your specific industry and trends. This is why branding sessions are so important and why collaboration is key to a successful brand.

And, It grows with your brand while invoking client trust

Once you have taken the steps to create the foundational aspects of your brand, rebranding is often just the visual realignment to match a maturing brand. The trust that you can create through the consistency of your brand visuals and brand voice is immeasurable, creating that right from the beginning can save you a lot of time, money and peace of mind.

The value of creating a brand that people see and automatically recognize (and associate positive feelings towards is imperative to growth and success.) At Brim & Bold we are rolling a NEW brand development guide that is 35+ pages as well as opening our single day brand sessions! I know woohoo!
